Vieira: Calf problem
Inter Milan have been handed a welcome boost regarding Patrick Vieira's latest injury.
The midfielder picked up a calf injury during the warm-up ahead of France's 2010 World Cup qualifier against Romania.
The problem comes just weeks after he made his long-awaited return from a niggling thigh complaint.
Initially it was feared that the experienced enforcer could be out for some time, but scans have helped ease those concerns.
It has emerged that Vieira has in fact only suffered a minor pull to a muscle in his right leg and is facing just a few days on the sidelines.
He will miss France's friendly with Tunisia on Tuesday while he faces a race against time to make Inter's Serie A clash with Roma on Sunday.
