Xabi Alonso scored twice as Euro 2008 champions Spain cruised to a 3-0 victory in Denmark.
Spain finally shook off their 'underachievers' tag with a stylish success in Austria and Switzerland and they were on song again as they put Denmark to the sword.
The first half remained goalless with the home team fighting hard to keep Spain at bay.
However, Liverpool midfielder Alonso broke the deadlock five minutes into the second period to set Spain on their way.
Xavi, named Player of the Tournament at Euro 2008, doubled Spain's lead on 74 minutes.
Alonso added his second of the night in the final minute to give new boss Vicente del Bosque the perfect start to his reign.
