The Livorno goalkeeper Amelia is a more than able backup to number one Gianluigi Buffon and he looks set for a summer move away from Livorno after they were relegated to Serie B.
The 26-year-old has established himself as Italy's number two ahead of Morgan De Sanctis following his consistent form since returning to Livorno from a loan spell at Parma.
He was third choice for Italy's World Cup winning campaign but came in for Buffon for the 3-1 win over Faroe Islands in the final game of qualifying for Austria and Switzerland.
Amelia may only have six caps to his name at the moment, but with Buffon now 30, he may not have to wait too much longer before he adds to that tally as his country's number one.
